What Is Survey Money Machines? Is It of the Best Paid Survey Sites?

Survey Money Machines works like Survey Junkie, it is a website that supplies members with surveys that can be completed for cash. The website is affiliated with over 40 market research companies that send the surveys and pay you for your opinions.

Basically, it is not a survey panel or market research company but it recommends a bunch of sites, including Swagbucks, which I personally believe is the hands-down most legitimate paid survey site online. Whereas Survey Money Machines recommends every site that will pay them a commission.

It is a website run by Hailey Gates who claims to have compiled a list of legitimate, high paying survey companies.  She allows you access to this list for free simply by signing up with her website.

Survey Money Machines make the process easier by compiling many survey companies in the one convenient location, and they do teach you how to make the most of your time so the surveys are fractionally more profitable.

Once you enter your email address, you’ll be sent a confirmation email that you must respond to in order to get access to Hailey’s list of survey sites.  Her list includes lots of well-known survey sites that we’ve reviewed here in the past.

Survey Money Machine also emails you two direct links to survey companies every day specifically asking you to sign up for those companies.  Hailey claims that the more companies you sign up for, the more likely you are to make money, so she specifically requests that you sign up for at least 14 and preferably 20 different survey companies. At least, I agree with her at this point as I mentioned a lot in most of my posts, you want to make money taking surveys, you have to sign up for more than five (5) to generate enough pocket money.

Is Survey Money Machines a scam? It’s not a scam, but they do make some big claims about how much cash you can earn. I’ve done online surveys for years here and there, but they all pay very little, and they are time-consuming. Might be good for someone in their early teens to do for a bit of extra cash, but not for those want to quit the 9-to-5 jobs as the pay is way too low for it to be worthwhile other than as just a spare time thing.

How To Make Money with Survey Money Machines?

After you give them your email address, you receive seven days of emails that instruct you to do what earns the owner of this website the most commissions for the actions you take.

It is a 14-day e-Course attached to Hailey’s system, which you receive daily in your email inbox. The course is also free and teaches you how best to manage your survey taking so you can achieve maximum profits for your valuable time.

Since she is affiliated with over 40 market research companies that send surveys and pay you for your opinions, so she provides you with a free list. It’s free to register with these sites, and she makes a small affiliate commission from your registration (that’s her incentive).

You earn money by participating in regular surveys, phone surveys, focus groups, previewing movie trailers, and trying out new products. The more you get involved the more money you make.

After you spend several minutes setting up each profile with these various networks that Survey Money Machines refers you to, you quickly discover that you’re not getting paid for surveys like you were promised on their sales page. You’re earning “points” that you can use to enter sweepstakes, bid on auctions within their members’ area, etc.

Survey Money Machine also claims that if you don’t earn between $25 and $150 in the first hour of trying to make money taking surveys, then Haily Gates will write you a personal check for $100.  Well, the problem with this is that the money you’re “earning” is most likely bonus money companies award your account once you sign up.  If you sign up with a couple different companies within the first hour, you could accumulate $25 or more in bonus money.

Not to forget that you won’t qualify for every survey. Some of them are gender specific, age specific, or require you to participate in a focus group. It’s not like you get access to hundreds of surveys every single day, so you have to complete them as they become available, which may only be once or twice a week.

Another key point you should consider is that these companies don’t always pay out in cash. Sometimes they pay out with gift-cards or in-store credit that you can use on their websites. So you really have to do your due diligence before signing up to take these surveys. Make sure you will receive a prize or cash that you really want before investing your time and energy.

The bottom line is there are so many better opportunities out there to make money online.

Why Survey Money Machines Makes Sense?

(+) Free To Sign Up

(+) It is affiliated with over 40 survey programs

(+) A 14-day e-course to teach you how best to manage your survey taking so you can achieve maximum profits for your valuable time

There Must be Some Negative Sides of Survey Money Machines

(-) Take a long time to reach required payout.

(-) Long payment processing time.

(-) Too many complaints from members.

(-) Hailey makes some outrageous claims on her website about how much money you can make. Things like earning $100 per survey, making up to $30 per hour.

(-) You have to live in either the USA, Canada, UK or Australia only

When it comes to its legitimacy, Survey Money Machines is definitely legitimate but it is not reliable.

I bet some people claim that certain survey panels are scams just because the earning potential is so low. I don’t think this is a good enough reason to brand something a scam. Survey Money Machines clearly does pay out rewards to people that accumulate enough points BUT it is a tough job to accumulate points through the program.

Rather than signing up with Survey Money Machines, why not joining a real survey panel?

Some examples are MySurveyIpsos I-SayTolunaSurveySpot or Harris Poll Online? My advice is to always join more than one survey panel. That’s because you will not receive more than three survey invites per week from one single source.

My Thought

Survey Money Machines is not a serious money-making opportunity. Some even say it is only great for wasting time.

In fact, I don’t like the reliance on survey panels in order to make money. Instead, I do affiliate marketing (it’s different) and rely 100% on myself to build an income online. If you are interested in alternative ways to generate a real passive income online, you might want to consider running your own legitimate online business.

One powerful way to do this is through an approach called affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing lets you earn money by promoting products from other companies. Any product you promote is going to be based on your opinion, and you are not required to stick with just one company.

If this is an area you’re interested in, you could learn more about this through my 7-day free email course or you could join the program here. The guide is an excellent way to learn all the ins and outs of affiliate marketing and to get started in the field yourself.

Thanks so much for this review! I’ve been looking for ways to make a little extra cash and was wondering if I could trust those claims to make that kind of money. Seemed too good to be true–and it looks like now that it is. One quick question about affiliate marketing…do you have to represent one company (like Amazon), or can you sign up with a lot of different companies? I mean, where do you even start?
    Thanks! Amy

      Hi Amy,

      Thanks for your feedback.

As an affiliate marketer, you don’t have to sign up with just one company. The beauty of affiliate marketing is that every year, there are more and more affiliate programs as companies see the opportunity to carve out such a vast marketing team online. There are 20-30 huge affiliate networks alone, with 10,000’s of affiliate programs not to mention all of the 10,000’s of independent affiliate programs.

If you would like to learn how to monetize your site through affiliate marketing, you could sign up for my email course here. It is a 7-day email course where I will guide you through and help you to start your first affiliate business online.

      Hope it helps.
