What is OnePoll?
Name: OnePoll Online
Overall Rank: 65 out of 100
Reward: Checks, PayPal, direct bank transfer
Reward Processing Time: Within 15 – 28 business days.
OnePoll is a British-based market research organization and a division of the SWNS Group (South West News Service), the UK’s largest independent press agency. It was founded in 2002 and its headquarters is located at The Media Centre, Abbeywood Business Park, Emma-Chris Way, Filton, Bristol BS34 7JU.
OnePoll originally was established to draft and host PR surveys to aid the PR industry. OnePoll worked for PR consultancies and in-house teams across the United Kingdom before they changed the strategy to offer online quantitative research to companies and organizations from all disciplines.
Since it is a UK based survey company, the prices or rewards are in UK Sterling, however, it is not region specific.
How to Make Money with OnePoll?
Signing up for an account is quite easy and it’s free. When I joined OnePoll, I had to fill in several pages of forms with my personal details. This is pretty much standard for all survey sites as this is what basically allow them to match you up to relevant surveys.
Registration with the site is free, and an account is open immediately from which you can begin earning a variety of rewards.
One thing I don’t like about OnePoll is I don’t receive email invites to take the surveys. It requires logging into the site which does require a bit more time and effort.
#1 Standard Survey
To be able to take surveys you simply need to log into your account and if there are any available they will be listed alongside there is a cash value. Surveys are based on all sorts of subjects from food, health, work, current affairs etc. All questions are general and anonymous with multiple choice answers.
In average, you probably get one survey per day. Some days there could also be only two surveys available per week, some days as many as 10 or 12 per week.
The surveys on the site are relatively easy and quick to complete. Surveys are normally priced at £0.15 – £0.40. However, there are some rare occurrences of surveys priced above this.
Other than that, there are also surveys that do not pay cash. These are known as competition surveys, they are very clearly marked and it is entirely a personal choice to have a go or not. These are normally short surveys and upon completion, participants names will be entered into a prize draw to win cash prizes between £100 and £1000.
#3 Referral Program
You can earn some cash by referring some friends to join OnePoll. OnePoll has a referral feature where you can invite up to ten friends.
There is also a referral program where you can earn up to £4 per referral. Besides, you make:-
- 50p once someone registers under you and completes a survey.
- £1 once someone registered under you has earned £20.
- £2.50 once someone registered under you has earned £40.
Getting Paid from OnePoll
In average, it takes approximately 28 days for the money to arrive but there are cases where its members received a little earlier than that.
Why OnePoll Makes Sense?
(+) The layout of OnePoll is clean, simple and easy to follow. The Help page can answer all the questions you need to know as a member.
(+) To encourage you to sign up as a member, OnePoll rewards 50p when you connect your Facebook account and 50p once you complete 10 surveys.
(+) It is free to sign up as a member of OnePoll.
(+) There are many surveys on different topics. Every time I log on my account I can find a couple of surveys and some of them are easy to complete without any pre-questionnaire, not to mention screening out.
(+) OnePoll has been highly praised for their iOS app in particular. If you like to take surveys with your mobile device, you’ll certainly find this program to your liking. Outstanding app for mobile users to take surveys on the go. You can make money even you are on the train to work and to go home.
There Must be Some Negatives from OnePoll
(-) There are complaints that surveys dry up when you are close to £40.
(-) There are occasions where the surveys have either been inappropriate and stopped, or froze / crashed whilst in progress.
(-) Super high cashout threshold. When you know you only get 10p per survey in average, it demotivates you to keep going. To arrive at £40, it takes a long time to accumulate.
(-) Inconsistency in their payout. Some surveys might take 10 minutes, but the rewards are 5p, whilst some might just take one minute, but the rewards are 10p or more.
OnePoll is a legitimate company. Its members have, at least, received their payouts from OnePoll (although it may take longer than expected.) However, there are a few cases where members reported that the survey dries out when they almost hit the cashout threshold (40 pounds).
OnePoll offers the simplest and the most straightforward tasks for its members to make extra cash. However, do keep in mind that OnePoll will not allow you to quit your nine-to-five job. It is definitely not a tool to make a real passive income.
As I mentioned in most of my posts, if you are really interested in making some extra pocket money by taking surveys online, you should sign up with several paid survey sites.
