Everyone is excited about Get Paid Social. What is Get Paid Social? Is it a scam or a legit program to make money online? I’m far from convinced and the company offers little evidence to prove its point. Read my unbiased review on Get Paid Social to find out more.
What is Get Paid Social? Is it Legit or a Scam?
Name: Get Paid Social
Overall Rank: 25 out of 100
Fee: Free or $27 per month, $97 per month per year or $197 one time fee.
CEO/Creator: Jeff Long

What is Get Paid Social? It is an online community, where the members can earn money by executing simple tasks, such as liking or sharing a Facebook fan page or post, answering short questions and giving your feedback on a website or article.
The funny thing about this program is you will not be able to look for a detailed information about this company but a bunch of bias reviews on the internet. That immediate gets me wonder if this is a scam or a legitimate program in the market. It actually fits one of my potential scam lists.
GetPaid.Social (GPS) was founded by Jeff Long, who owned AutoXTen and SMS Dailies in the past. They were both basically recruitment schemes and collapsed within a few months since they were launched.
GPS was registered in Nevada, the United States in September 2015. Just like any other programs of Jeff Long, it is another recruitment scheme.
How Does Get Paid Social Work?
You can join as a free member and make some small earnings with it. GPS rewards their members by executing simple tasks online.
Some of these simple tasks include sharing and ‘liking’ on Facebook, ‘re-tweeting’ on Twitter or other social media platforms like LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
GPS is just barely starting to get recognized as a valid program as it is still relatively new in the market. Of course, people tend to be skeptical about this product due to the owner’s past failures.
GPS’s business model works quite similar to Paid To Click. It works as a middle person between advertisers and consumers. In order to help these advertisers’ businesses grow, they need people to share their content.
When someone (advertiser) wants something done (or share, etc), it puts them in the “task marketplace”. Members hence “like”, share and give comments to the post and get paid. However, the commissions are often extremely low.

#2 Referral Program
If you want to go from earning a few dollars (or cents) a day to making some “good” money, you can also join their referral program.
When you manage to recruit someone to sign up GPS as a member, you will earn a percentage from the task they are doing.
Earnings are paid out based on a percentage of newly recruited membership fees.
- Level 1 (Personally recruited members) – 40-% of affiliate fees
- Level 2 – 10% of affiliate fees
Take note that 10% of all commission earnings are automatically applied to your credit balance and you can’t withdraw them.

Getting Paid from Get Paid Social
To cash out your earning, you will have to accumulate at least $25 in your account. Note that the option to cash out your earnings is only available every Friday.
As a free member, you can only cashout your earnings to a visa pre-paid gift card or Amazon gift card. No PayPal cash out available.
As a premium member, you can opt for either gift card redemption or cashing out via PayPal.

Why Get Paid Social Makes Sense?
(+) Simple tasks and straightforward.
(+) You can earn money for free. You can boost your earning by upgrading your membership to premium.
(+) Payouts available via prepaid master card, e-vouchers, and Amazon gift cards or PayPal (limited to premium member only).
There Must be Some Negative Sides of Get Paid Social
(-) It is relatively still new in the market.
(-) There is no proper product or service. It’s simply a case of recruiting more affiliates onboard.
(-) Risky business model. Facebook and other social media platforms have user agreements that they don’t approve these types “click farms” scheme as part of their system.
(-) Jeff Long have previously folded two of his products – AutoXTen and SMS Dailies. Will Get Paid Social survive? It is too early to judge.
Get Paid Social’s business model is not new in the market. GPS is just another recruiting program. The money that you are going to make are generated from the people you are going to recruit. My question is, will the business model sustain if there is a lack of recruitment in the entire system?
Even if you opt for the free membership, the commission is way too low for members to earn a living by executing those simple tasks online.
I do agree that getting a premium account does have its benefits, but you will have to recruit people to join this program and it is not easy.
GPS will not make you rich, why waste your time and effort in this program while there are so many alternatives?
