What is Clickworker.com – Is It Legitimate or a Scam?

Summary: What is Clickworker.com? This is a get-paid-to (GPT) website that specializes in microtasks. Joining this site by Alexander Linden is free but previous workers reported of some problems with the system and the pay. WIth that said, I could not recommend this to anyone even though it is a legit company.

What is Clickworker.com?

"Profit from your talents."

These are the first words you'll see when you visit clickworker.com's sign-up page. It's a little vague and it's really just as good as a tagline.

So, who are they really?

Well, Clickworker is a website that is "always looking for Internet users worldwide who can, for example, create of correct texts, participate in surveys or search and categorize data." Basically, they're a crowdsourcing company that pays members to do tasks.

The website was started by a man named Alexander Linden and after some research, I found out a couple of facts about him. I learned that outside Clickworker, Alexander Linden is also a VP for Data Science at Gartner. He founded Clickworker.com back in 2005.

How Does Clickworker.com Work?

If you're familiar with the "get paid to" (GPT) scheme, understanding how Clickworker works won't be hard. Basically, as the name suggests, GPT sites will pay you to do specific tasks like answering surveys.

To be more specific, as a Clickworker, you will be paid to write, translate, research, and process data. I'll deal with these things more in the coming sections. The site would call these tasks "microjobs" and Clickworkers can decide their workload.

So far, so good.

Where Can I Get It?

GPT sites target those who are looking for additional income on the internet which, at this day and age, can be anyone already. However, since GPTs like Clickworker.com smell like easy money, newbies are the one who are easily attracted to them.

If you think Clickworker.com is your opportunity to get easy income online, you can start off by heading to their sales page. You'll learn how to be a part of Clickworker there and you can sign up in the same page. You can also downlaod the app instead.

Joining Clickworker.com is free and according to my sources, there are no hidden costs or fees. It looks really good up to this point but I guess the question we really have to answer is if you could actually earn enough here.

Are you struggling to find a separate "day job"?

It is easy to run a ready-made website and start earning through affiliate marketing. You don't need a single thing to sell online at all.

How Can I Earn From Clickworker.com?

Although their website says that you can earn up to $10 per hour, that won't be the case every time. Compensation differs from one task to another and the complexity of the task will also factor in. Here are some of the ways you can earn:

Paid Surveys

For a lot of GPT websites, paid surveys are the bread and butters. Surveys are often needed by companies for marketing purposes and they usually tap websites like Swagbucks or Clickworker to conduct the survey for them.

Micro Tasks

In the case of Clickworker.com, micro tasks are the bread and butter. Micro tasks are highly dependent on the information you will put on your profile.Examples of micro tasks are text creation, copy editing, and data management.

Offers and Promotions

Clickworker is also tapped by its clients to promote products for them. Although you may not directly earn from these opportunities, these are often deals that you can avail to save up on some stuff.

What Do Clickworker Users Say?

Much like its counterparts, Clickworker.com had its fair share of glory. For some time, a lot of people got into this and the company even has its own Glassdoors profile because of that.

With that said, it was not too hard to look for comments about them. Workers have expressed their feelings and experiences so I took the liberty of taking a look at those comments.

What is Clickworker.com? Is it a scam or is it legit? Well, to give you some context, the company has a rating of 2.2/5 which is actually low. Jobs apparently do not come as much and they do not pay that well also.

Here are some comments I saw on Glassdoors:

Takes advantage of people and wastes your time

As expected, a lot of people are being really skeptical about this.

Clickworker Ugly Truths Revealed

Pros

  • Legit company with its own Glassdoors page.
  • The company actually pays and has an actual system in place.

Cons

  • Negative comments with reports of bad service and too little compensation.
  • If your goal is to have an actual career at making money online, this is not for you.
  • Too little opportunities.

Is Clickworker.com a Scam?

Here’s my final verdict:

Coming into the review, I had a feeling that Clickworker was really legit. With my initial research, I found out that everything checks out here and their Glassdoors page helped with that.

However, despite the strong start in this review, the user comments about the company pulled it down. With previous members of the service reporting that the system does not work well, I simply could not recommend this fully.

Nonetheless, the service is not a scam since you are not paying a single cent but I don't think it's worth your time also. If you really want to make serious money online, I recommend our top pick instead.

If you are looking for a pocket-money-earning opportunity, I would recommend paid survey sites like VivaticPinecone Research, and iPoll.

How I Make a Living Online?

I've created a 4-Figure monthly passive income stream in 8 months time without knowing any programming and coding. I had no idea how to create a website from scratch and knew nothing about affiliate marketing.
