Crowdtap Review Summary
Product Name: Crowdtap
Founder: Brandon Evans
Product type: Affiliate Marketing
Best For: Casual earners
Recommended: Only for certain people
Summary: Is Crowdtap a scam? This GPT website focuses on product reviews and it is actually not that bad. You can sign up for free and their compensation plan is quite good as well. The only catch? Well, it's only open for US residents. Nonetheless, if you can try this out, proceed with caution due to some negative comments about checkouts.
What is Crowdtap?
"Make your opinions work for you"
These are the first words you'll when you visit the official website of Crowdtap. This statement, which serves as their tagline, is followed by another sentence that says "Join more than a million people who earn cool rewards for giving their honest feedback."
From these two statements alone, I think it's safe to assume that we are dealing with a GPT (get-paid-to) website here. However, unlike most of the GPTs we have reviewed so far, Crowdtap specializes in product review.
The service was founded by Brandon Evans in an effort to connect manufacturers and companies to their target market to improve their respective products. I research about Brandon Evans and he seems like a guy who knows what he's doing.
Brandon, being the CEO of Crowdtap, also represents the company in different functions such as interviews and talks. You can easily search about him online which is a good sign.

How Does Crowdtap Work?
As mentioned, Crowdtap is a GPT website that focuses on rewarding people for reviewing products. Unlike the usual GPT though, you won't actually earn money from Crowdtap. Instead, you'll be earning rewards from different stores such as Wallmart and Amazon.
Every "Mission" in Crowdtap is related to sourcing information from you about certain products. For example, you may be asked to participate in polls comparing products, take pictures, leave comments, join discussions, and more. Of course, there are the good old questionnaires.
Now, the more exciting missions are those that would require you to actually test out product samples. Completing such missions and more, will enable you to earn points.
The amount of points you'll earn will depend on the brand or product you'll be working with. Some accounts say that they could earn $5 per week, while others say they reach up to $15 per month. However, I think it's important to establish the fact that you won't be earning cash here, instead you'll be earning rewards int eh form of gift cards.
Where Can I Get It?
Due to its system of sending actual products to reviewers, Crowdtap's services can only be confined within a certain area. As of the moment, only those who are residing the US can register.
Furthermore, this "side hustle" seems to be suited only for those who have the time to actually try out the products. If you think you fit the descriptions, you can sign up at Crowdtap using your Facebook account or your email address.
Signing up is free adn I have not seen any reports of upsells or hidden fees.
Are you struggling to find a separate "day job"?
It is easy to run a ready-made website and start earning through affiliate marketing. You don't need a single thing to sell online at all.
Focus Groups and Multiple Choice
Focus Groups are the rarest offers one might get in Crowdtap. As the name suggests, this opportunity involves testing out a product and sharing your insights to a group who have tested out the same product. Multiple choice or polls, on the other hand, are perhaps the easiest offers you can get. Basically, you will simply be asked to pick something and you're good to go.
Surveys and Photos
In terms of frequency and popularity, nothing will beat the good old survey questionnaire in GPT websites. As usual, the reward you're going to get will depend on the length of the survey. Photos, on the other hand, won't appear as much as surveys. However, they're far easier as compared to other offers as well since the only thing you would have to do is to take, well, pictures.
Open Ended and Sharing
Open ended offers are those that would require you to answer in the form of paragraph or statements. With these, you'll have more freedom to express your thoughts. Meanwhile, sharing offers would require you to share the products that will be assigned to you. You can think of it as promoting something to your peers.
Finally, the pride of Crowdtap. As the most popular option in the platform, these offers run out fast. When you are able to grab a Sampling offer, a product will be sent to you and you'll have to try it out. Of course, you would need to share your thoughts after a certain amount of time.
What Do Crowdtap Users Say?
Crowdtap seems to be very popular in the US market. There are tons of reviews about there about the product and reputable rating websites have picked up the company as well. For the sake of this review, I went on to read up on their Trustpilot ratings.
Is Crowdtap a scam? Well, out of the 321 reviews on Trustpilot, 83% seem to disagree with that statement. However, 10% of the reviews were really bad and we just could not simply disregard those.
There seems to be a recent trend that's been taking over in the comments section and it does not bode well for Crowdtap. Here are some of the comments that struck me the most:

Crowdtap Ugly Truths Revealed
Is Crowdtap a Scam?
Here's what I think:
Crowdtap has a clean website, it has a good set of background information and you can easily sense that it has been doing well. It's not perfect, though.
As good as this company may get, we still could not hide the fact that it is only available to US residents. If you are one, then congratulations because this seems like a really great opportunity although you might want to be cautious because of the reviews.
Now, if you cannot or you do not want to get into Crowdtap, you might want to check out another industry. I, myself, have been making money online through my top pick. Let me explain that in the next section.
